Today is the 5th February, WTAF! Normally January and February are an absolute nightmare, going on and on for what seems like its actually become a joke and we are all waiting for Spring, but I cant believe how quickly the first month of the year went by, without too much January, if you get what I mean?
I remember when I was a kid, my Mum used to say to me “Wait until you get older, time goes faster, each year will fly by faster than the previous!”. I thought she was off he rocker if I’m honest.
But with that comes worries of friends, family and loved ones getting older. More frequent visits for our elderly relatives to hospital appointments and a real sense that everyone is getting older.
I no longer just get up and out of the chair without a groan and if I drop something on the floor, I think do I really need to bend down in order to collect it, so with that being said I have taken to daily morning yoga/Pilates. Now anyone that knows me knows that I am not a lover of exercise classes; but boy, I am a different person.
Strength training, body conditioning, combat, Hiit, and dead lifting weights have since become by daily life in the last year or so and wow! I am sleeping brilliantly (which had alluded me since my hysterectomy), I have clarity, I feel stronger and less fuzzy. Its nothing short of a miracle.
Anyway, must rush… my gym awaits :)
