What to Expect on Life Goes On

I’m Hayley, a London born mid lifer living in sunny Southend, I work in care recruitment but I am currently trying to set my set up my own business as a Virtual Assistant (VA) so I can be the king of my god damn castle for once!
My quest is now to enjoy my midlife after inevitably going through surgical menopause with as many hiccups as is humanly possible. I have learned to accept that nothing I do comes easy, par for the course!
Why I’m here and what I may well talk about…
Firstly, I have an opinion, I swear occasionally and I realise that I am just not for everyone and that’s okay. If getting older has taught me anything, then that is not everyone will be for you and vice versa.
Menopause - I had a surgical menopause seven years ago that definitely was a curve ball that I did not expect and neither did I realise that it would be so hard to navigate the many GP’s, specialists, menopause clinics, nurses and general gatekeepers in order to just feel as human as I did pre-surgery.
Politics is a passion of mine and I am all about healthy debates, especially with a General Election on the way some time this year.
Fitness - this is a new concept to me that I had to take on after going into surgical menopause
